 Road accident in Dubai, Indian rider was affected now he has Hospital expenses of 1 crore rupees


An indian rider in Dubai has hospital bill of nearky Dh 400,000 (approximately Rs 1 crore), after bike accident in Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road(E311). He has multiple fractires and he is going through surgical support. This has now raised question about road safety, healthcare costs and insurance in the UAE

On January 18 2026 36 years old Avinash Sequira who is a freelancer and member of the Ducati Owners Club was on a ride with his friend in the morning when the accident occurred near Liwan which is near his home.

His has exchanged his bike because his radiator was leaking , Avinash wass going home with speed of 50 km/hr. Bike lost its traction on a little curving road, which cause him to crash. He go multiople fractures in his both legs and right hip.

Which was mentioned in his hospital report. passersby called emergency services and he was taken to Fakeeh University Hospital for emergency treatment. Avinash went through two major surgeries by installing steel rods in his femur and hip and faces. Also surgery for reconstruction of the tibia below his right knee.

Doctor told that he need many months of rest for his full recovery so he can walk again and more medical treatment needed after that.

The hospital cost without medical insurance was nearly Dh 400,000 which shocked his family members and friends. Avinash's father, Sunil Swequira told reporters that his family cannot affort that much money. They were informed about his road accident because his iPhome Sent SOS alert.
